Cooking Class Experience
The Story..
Hidden among the rolling hills of the San Marino, Podere Lesignano has embodied rural elegance and authenticity since 1850. Surrounded by vineyards and centuries-old olive trees, our estate offers a refined escape where time slows, and tradition becomes a privilege to experience.
We are proud to promote a healthy, genuine, and organic cuisine deeply connected to our region’s authentic traditions and rural culture.
The Guide..
During the visit, you will enjoy a traditional Italian aperitivo featuring homemade bruschetta, olives, and a selection of local cured meats and cheeses. Under our guidance, you will craft fresh pasta from scratch, kneading organic eggs and ancient grain flour to create perfectly textured tagliatelle.
Together, we prepare a slow-simmered ragù using carefully selected ingredients and conclude with our traditional dessert, bustrengo — a refined expression of rural heritage.
Every recipe reflects generations of family tradition, elevated with care and attention to detail.
A special moment of the experience is our flour workshop, an exclusive insight into our ancient grains. Starting from the wheat spike, explaining their unique properties and showing how they are stone-milled into the flour you will use.
The Dinner..
Every ingredient comes from our farm: organic vegetables from our garden, ancient grain flour, our own extra virgin olive oil, and our wine — truly farm to table, in its purest form.
At the end of the class, we will sit together, raise a glass of wine, and enjoy the meal you created with your own hands, surrounded by the quiet beauty of the countryside.
In the end..
Rather than simply bringing home a souvenir, take home a true piece of San Marino’s culture — a lasting memory rooted in authenticity, tradition, and taste.

What our guests say

A fantastic night on the farm
We had a wonderful time with Matteo, making homemade pasta and ragù, and also learning about the history of the farm, his family, and life in the microstate of the Serenissima Republic of San Marino! Just minutes from the capital, perched atop a mountain, this farm is a concentration of charm and love, boasting exquisite craftsmanship and a rich culture! He took us to one of the few Shinto shrines in Europe, imported from Japan and located near a pond—a place of recollection—and introduced us to the various animals that live on the property. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to get away from the usual tourist activities! If you’re in Rimini, Italy, or the San Marino area, this is the perfect place to invest your time and money!

Unforgettable day
For my birthday, my children treated me to a wonderful experience at this enchanting farm. Matteo welcomed us with such kindness and, above all, so much patience. He taught us, step by step, how to cook San Marinese sauce and how to make tagliatelle by hand with a rolling pin. It was a fantastic day; we ate outside because we were lucky enough to have a warm, sunny day. An unforgettable day… I forgot a very important detail… all accompanied by a delicious San Giovese that, as much as I enjoyed it, Matteo gave me… thanks again.

A warm welcome, authentic cuisine, and breathtaking views with Matteo and his family of their beautiful land. Unforgettable!
Cooking like a local in San Marino was truly unforgettable. From the moment Matteo welcomed us with a big smile and showed us his family’s land, it was already special. We got a taste of real life in San Marino, with every detail adding to the charm.
Together with another family, we began cooking on small outdoor stoves, preparing sauces, pasta, and desserts. My nine-year-old daughter loved every minute, proudly wearing her apron and helping with the dough. While the sauce simmered gently, we enjoyed local wine and small bites, surrounded by laughter and stories.
Matteo guided us warmly, his grandmother joined in, and soon we were all gathered at a long table sharing the dishes we had just made. The setting, the atmosphere, and the food were perfect. This was much more than a cooking class; it was a memory to treasure. If you happen to visit San Marino, don’t miss this experience.
